Each VSAN Ready Node is classified by a Ready Node configuration profile. Defined Ready Node profiles include:

Integrated Data Protection

Data protection is built into every Nimble Storage array, eliminating the inefficiency associated with managing primary and backup storage tiers. Nimble arrays use advanced data protection features including frequent point-in-time snapshots and WAN-efficient replication.


Arrays allow connectivity using either FCP or iSCSI. Replication between arrays uses Ethernet and target arrays allow alternate connectivity. This would allow an organisation to provide FCP for the primary site and iSCSI at a secondary site for DR/D2D.
