Cloud Plus required a custom-built storage system that fully met performance and management requirements in order to support uncompromised business-critical applications certified by VMWare and VEEAM. Cloud Plus was looking for a new storage vendor that could offer a scalable network file system and flash option that is also VMWare and VEEAM certified. The main issue was that the company had outgrown their current Nexenta platform, which created a large demand for a higher performance and easy-to-manage system that required less effort and manpower to maintain. Many competitors offered fixed solutions with their fixed branded hardware; however they wanted a solution that was flexible in the hardware they desired, which they could source from different brands.
