ASUS RS700A-E11-RS12U Hardware Overview

The RS700A-E11-RS12U is a 1U all-flash dual socket server powered by the new EPYC 7003 series processors, supporting 32 DIMM, one dual slot GPU, 12 NVMe, 3PCIe 4.0 slots, OCP 3.0, M.2 and ASMB10-iKVM server management.

 

CPU

This server is powered by the new AMD EPYC 7003 series processor which highlights up to 32MB of L3 cache per core to increase analytic speeds and up to 25% generational performance gains in mid-tier CPUs.

 

PCIe 4.0 Expansion

The RS700A-E11 comes PCIe 4.0 ready to support a wide range of graphics, storage and networking capabilities as a flexible and scalable solution. PCIe 4.0 delivers double the speed of PCIe 3.0 with 16GT/s bandwidth. This provides lower TCO, better lane scalability and backwards compatibility.

 

GPU and FPGA Support

 

ASUS RS700A-E11 features a powerful GPU architecture in a 1U system which supports one dual slot GPU such as the NVIDIA A100, for ease of scalability for HPC and AI demands and security of virtual environment workloads.

This server is Xilinx Alveo-qualified servers to optimally accelerate workloads across cloud, on-premises data centres and hybrid cloud environments.

 

CPU-balanced Architecture

The new server introduces a CPU-balanced architecture that enables secure and optimal CPU performance efficiency. Let’s dive deeper, this is a result of the architecture extending the full bandwidth to the single or dual CPU configuration for more computing capability and overall power efficiency.
