DiGiCOR envisions a future where sustainability becomes a core component for all organisations. Amidst this, we
will be the preferred provider for IT solutions in Australia and New Zealand by utilising technology to provide
organisations with the highest level of quality, whilst largely contributing to a sustainable future. DiGiCOR
aims
to one day, eradicate its contribution to pollution with the advancements of technology, we will be at the
forefront of environmental sustainability, alongside our partners.
DiGiCOR’s mission is to provide organisations with IT solutions that utilise the latest technologies; we will
serve as an intermediary between consumers and manufacturers who facilitate the movement to a sustainable
future.
DiGiCOR will assist this by sourcing from sustainable vendors.
DiGiCOR recognise four areas of caution in our journey for environmental sustainability; Partner, Procurement,
Carbon Footprint, and Recycling. Whilst, measures are in place to ensure these areas are being addressed amidst
our business operations, DiGiCOR acknowledges that there is always room for improvement. Currently, our
partner’s
sustainability policies are in line with our mission, we acquire their products in an environmentally friendly
manner, we utilise solar energy as a means to reduce our carbon footprint and we also engage in recycling
programs
to ensure appropriate disposal of electronic products.
“DiGiCOR intends to provide solutions for future technological complexities by establishing fundamental
sustainable business practices. I see beyond the bottom line, I believe DiGiCOR has an important role to play in
ensuring a future that is sustainable”
DiGiCOR is proud to be in business with organisations that understand the importance of green business
practices. Our primary supplier/partner SUPERMICRO, currently leads the market in green IT innovation. They
produce resource-saving architecture as a means to reduce the impact of technology on the environment.
Intel,
a major partner of ours, has also contributed greatly. They have saved 60 billion gallons of water to date
in
2020, having returned 80% of their water use back to communities already, they now aim to reach the 100%
mark
by 2025.
All DiGiCOR partners practice environmental sustainability, further information regarding a few of our partners
and their environmental practices can be found on their policy pages at:

DiGiCOR ensures its acquisition and dispatching of goods is in the hands of organisations that ensure
sustainability. Only utilising UPS and Mainfreight, We can confidently state that DiGiCOR receives and
delivers in practices which are at the edge of sustainability in delivery services. The organisations are
both
in the midst of undergoing full fleet renewals and both aspire to one day move towards a fully
electric-powered fleet for delivery. Further information regarding
UPS
and
Mainfreight’s
sustainability policies can be found on their websites.

DiGiCOR is conscious of the effects of carbon emissions; whilst we may be a fractional contributor, we
strongly believe all organisations have a responsibility to reduce their contribution to the multinational
issue. In 2019, DiGiCOR installed over 100 solar panels onto our rooves and as a result, we now utilise
solar
energy where we can, even selling the excess to the grid on weekends. The office space utilise skylights
built
into the roof for lighting and we use LED lighting to fill any extra lighting needed. In addition, we set
room
temperatures to a standard 23 degrees throughout the year and if the air-con is in use, our climate control
is
also optimised to switch off at 4pm on weekdays, and then any additional use of the climate control
automatically turns off every one-hour. Additionally, the walls and rooves are well insulated, hence
temperatures inside are not influenced largely by external weather, allowing the climate control to operate
efficiently.

A major point of caution in DiGiCOR’s sustainability analysis is waste management. In this industry, it is
fundamental that all organisations are practicing healthy waste disposal methods. We cooperates with Sims
Metal to regularly participate in metal recycling, Sim Metals is an industry leader in correctly recycling
and
reselling metals. This ensures a sustainable cycle for our waste metals.
In regard to paper recycling; we utilise technology to reduce our paper consumption, however we still do have
paper bins around the office which are emptied into a recycling bin weekly.
1. Integrating technology is of great importance at DiGiCOR, soon the office aims to eradicate paper entirely.
2. Technology developing at an exponential rate gives hope to DiGiCOR. We aspire to soon be able to expand our
solar operation, allowing them to move to an entirely solar based office.
